Misc, yet of some interest...

As soon as it was nice outside (back in April) we were outside as long as it was over 40 degrees! The girls swore they weren't cold...

J is quite the resourceful cat, she'll push a chair or stool up to anything these days. And it appears that she loves dogs as much as her mom does (she was chanting for Levi to come inside when I found her locking and unlocking the patio door).

Fuzzy sox and a movie on Dad's iPad, what more could you want?

New bedroom maybe?? Maybe we could live in a smaller house.

We have now graduated to drinking our green smoothies out of lid-less glasses, because it moves slower than water does. haha. And......

....... Ta da! Mom got a dehydrator!!! We've been selling things on craigslist anticipating our upcoming move, so I had enough moola to get something I've been wanting for a VERY long time. It's awesome!

Backpost: Feeling Bouncy

At the end of April we joined some friends and went to a bounce place (is it me or are these things cropping up everywhere?). This place is about 30 minutes from our house and after I got there, I looked in my purse to pull out my wallet and it wasn't there. Oh yeah. Immediately I remembered leaving it on the counter at home. Thankfully, a generous friend paid for my kiddos to bounce. Ellie jumped right in on the action, but surprisingly, Julia did NOT want to be put in one of those things. So... I got in there with her and then she found it tolerable. Oh yes, and Ellie has been feeling quite camera shy lately and I didn't get one single "good" picture of her while we were there (although I was using my old point and shoot, which didn't help matters any).

They Play Here

And I am dreading the day that Julia gets tall enough to hit her head on some of the mean looking hinges under this table!

Backpost: Gatlinburg

We went to see Pop & Tudi over in Gatlinburg (as listed on that blog about why I haven't been posting much) April 1st - 3rd... well over a month ago! It was fun to get out in nature a bit and take a hike. Levi got to tag along and was the happiest dog on the planet for a few days. Somewhere (I think on Dan's iPad) there are many more pictures, but these are all I have.

Make your own

Peanut butter playdough was unsuccessful in our house. Dang! I couldn't get it to have the dough consistency. But the girls sure did enjoy eating it!

Things that make you go...

I'm not sure how it happened, but it did.

The creation of Washcloth Head.

The girls don their wet washcloths and they get a rather contagious and explosive round of the giggles.

Sunday Funday

One thing I can't believe I forgot to put on the blog is a picnic we took back in April. One particularly lovely Sunday afternoon, we thought it prudent to take our little fam on a spectacular picnic! Since it was windy we thought it would be fun to take our kite along, however it didn't want to cooperate and we deemed this kite a piece of junk that will go on our next garage sale tables. :)

How to help raise grateful kids

I've been reading the book "One Thousand Gifts" very very slowly (like, for two months now). It's one of those books that hits me just at the right time in my life. When I've been feeling the nudge to slow down, live life more present. It seems to me this theme of slowing down and living life more in the present has been a recurring theme for myself as well as other bloggers I read. Interesting. Anyway. I LOVE this blog entry about how to help raise grateful kids. Take a peek:
