Big Girly Bed

June 12, 2009 Moved the bed into Ellie's room.

June 15, 2009 Ellie spent her first night in her Big Bed.

June 16, 2009 Ellie slept in her crib.

We made a big to-do about putting Ellie's "big" bed in her room and she was pretty excited when it was being moved in. She and Dan were playing on it, while I attempted to put sheets on the darn thing. We decided to set it directly on the floor so she could climb off and on easily. Ellie took to the bed immediately... as a play pretty, at least. But when it was time to take her nap, she slept in her crib. Then when it was time to go to bed, she slept in her crib. The next day's nap and bedtime were also spent in her crib. Girl likes her small enclosed space! Eventually she got used to the idea and slept on the bed for the first night on June 15th. Since then, she's been in and out of the crib a lot, depending on how tired she is. We're making progress!

Interesting: Ellie hasn't actually climbed out of her bed during a nap time or in the morning. She just sits there and waits for us to come get her out! That's going to last forever, right???
